THE KYUSHU UNIVERSITY MUSEUM REMAINS ACTIVE AT THE HAKOZAKI SATELLITE

Since foundation of the Kyushu Imperial University in 1911, the Kyushu University has built up its history here at the Hakozaki campus for over 100 years. The relocation to the new campus (Ito campus) was completed in September 2018, and the Kyushu University and Fukuoka City Government are currently discussing about the future use of this site. Anyway, several historically buildings, including Faculty of Engineering Main Building, Head quarters Building 1, Porter’s Lodge, and Main Gate are scheduled to be conserved.
Currently, the Kyushu University Museum is active in the Faculty of Engineering Main Building, one of the historical heritages to the future, in the Hakozaki site.
