Since foundation of the Kyushu Imperial University in 1911, the Kyushu University has built up its history here at the Hakozaki campus for over 100 years. The relocation to the new campus (Ito campus) was completed in September 2018, and the Kyushu University and Fukuoka City Government are currently discussing about the future use of this site. Anyway, several historically buildings, including Faculty of Engineering Main Building, Head quarters Building 1, Porter’s Lodge, and Main Gate are scheduled to be conserved.

The Kyushu University Museum is located in the city of Fukuoka, the largest metropolis of Kyushu Island, Japan. Fukuoka is about 1,170- kilometer from Tokyo, which is a 5-hour ride by bullet train (JR "Shinkansen"), or a 90-minute flight. |
