Chapter 1 introduced the history of the integrated teachers' room.

Chapter 2 dealt with the proposition of the departmentalized teachers' room coupled with departmentalized classroom system and subject center system from architectural planning and design.

Schools which were designed on the basis of Chapter 2, afterword, changed to special classroom system and set up the graded teachers' room and/or the integrated teachers' room. Chapter 3 showed the reasons.

Chapter 4 analyzed characteristics of activities of junior-high-school teachers by some researches, resulted that teachers working in the integrated teachers' room tended to have difficulties in resting and working and need much time to move.

Chapter 5 described the junior high schools where departmentalized classroom system started with the integrated teachers' room.

Thus we concluded that the integrated teachers' room was suited for Japanese junior high school.
